As of right now, Blackpool is not worried about Tuesday night’s EFL Trophy match against Morecambe.
The Bloomfield Road game is slated to begin at 7 p.m. tomorrow night, which is a little over 24 hours after the most recent Met Office warnings for severe wind and rain are supposed to end.
Storm Debi’s effects are still being felt in Blackpool and throughout Lancashire, as gale-force winds gusting between 70 and 80 mph are causing havoc.
This evening at around six o’clock, those winds are predicted to subside along with an easing of the precipitation.
The Fylde coast is still experiencing bad weather, so more showery weather is predicted for tonight and much of tomorrow.
Despite that prediction, it is anticipated that the weather won’t interfere with the Seasiders’ scheduled home game against their League Two rivals.
Blackpool has defeated both Barrow and Liverpool’s under-21 team in their two EFL Trophy matches thus far.
Neil Critchley’s team will inevitably face Derek Adams’ Shrimps at home in the following round if they triumph.
