Stuart Dallas, a utility player for Leeds United, is hoping to return soon for Leeds, but he will not be training with Northern Ireland this week. His recovery is still very “complicated.”

If they aren’t travelling with their nations, Daniel Farke’s main players for the Whites have a week off during the international break, which also gives those who are having trouble staying fit some time to heal.

After being out of action for two weeks, some players will have more time to hone their skills in preparation for the football team’s return to action, which takes place on Friday away at Rotherham United.

Stuart Dallas, when will you be back?
In recent months, Stuart Dallas has returned to team training, albeit infrequently. Daniel Farke is trying to gradually increase the 32-year-old’s involvement so as not to overburden him before he fully recovers.

Dallas’ femur fracture sustained in the team’s April 2022 loss to Manchester City occurred almost 20 months ago, and when asked if the team would be able to train with Northern Ireland this week, Farke was not inclined to approve of that (via the YEP):

It’s not the plan, sorry. Stuart cannot participate in team training with Northern Ireland because, generally speaking, he is not involved in team training at this time.

“He will undoubtedly take one or two days off from his individual work during the international break.

The main topic for Stuart is to work on his rehab work and to join us back, but if he wants to use this to be there with a quick visit to lift the mood, we are always open to it. When you are involved in such a long rehab process, it’s often not that easy for the head.

Key insight shared by an injury expert
Dr. Rajpal Brar has now discussed when Dallas might return to the race for the Whites with MOT Leeds News.

If he is going to be back to team training soon, he could be back in December, but Brar says it might not be that easy:

He’s probably finishing up on-pitch training if he plans to return in December, and they’re going about it very carefully.

“He’s probably spending the most of his off-pitch time building up his strength if he’s not on course, which is a possibility. It’s obvious that this situation needs to be handled very carefully because it’s complicated.

Dallas is currently undergoing a thorough rehabilitation process at Leeds, which is evident, and that is exactly right.

We can’t take the chance of forcing him back, as that will only lead to muscular problems that will make him even more disabled. Although it doesn’t seem like he will be back to team training full-time for a while, fitness is a different story after a year and a half away from the game.
