Villa is still interested in the defender, and Unai Emery’s team may be looking to acquire Acuna as he tries to bolster his defence.
Acuna’s Sevilla contract expires in2025, so if the Premier League team decided to reapply for the defender in January, Villa might be able to negotiate a very favourable price for the Argentine. Acuna is a very versatile defender, so it won’t take much to convince him to move, especially with other La Liga exports doing well at the team under Emery.
