After the international break, Philippe Clement may decide to fully unleash Tom Lawrence, who will undoubtedly electrify Rangers supporters by coming off the bench.

On September 24, former Ibrox manager Michael Beale disclosed that Lawrence had missed games from September 21 to November 9 due to an injury setback against Real Betis [Rangers Review].

Lawrence’s role under Clement is still unclear, having started just two Scottish Premiership games so far this season, but this could be the moment when he is finally let loose.

Lawrence could have his chance now that the international break is approaching, giving him two weeks to get fit and prove that he belongs in the squad through his training efforts.

This Rangers team is severely lacking in offensive flair and talent. Under Clement, the use of Todd Cantwell on the right has proven to be a revelation; however, it leaves room in the middle for players like Lawrence to fill that void.

With his creativity thriving, the Welshman has completed 100% of his attempted dribbles, drawn 1.3 fouls per game, and averaged 1.8 key passes per game in his four league appearances this season, averaging 50 minutes per game.

His ability to pick passes and contribute to Clement’s team in the final third has also been demonstrated by two crucial passes that resulted in two assists; going forward, Lawrence and the Rangers may find this creative role to be ideal.

The BBC’s Sportscene host Jonathan Sutherland also included Lawrence in his team of the week on November 13, demonstrating how well the midfield player fits into this group. Once he’s healthy and ready to go, there might not be any turning back.
