Kylian Kouassi will be sidelined for a while after missing Saturday afternoon’s 4-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town.

The Northern Ireland international is also out for the next few weeks, so the striker is the latest addition to Seasiders’ injury list alongside Shayne Lavery.

Sadly, Kylian sustained an injury during training following Blackpool’s match against Bolton, according to Blackpool manager Neil Critchley.

“He will be absent for a short while.

“It’s a hamstring, and he will be out for several weeks. It’s not ideal that he and Shayne are both strikers, but we still have good firepower with Jake Beesley scoring and Kyle Joseph returning. We don’t have a lot of injuries. Because of his ribs from the previous week, Norbs (Ollie Norburn) was unable to play in the Shrewsbury game. Next weekend, Blackpool will return to action when they play Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
