Fresh injury news emerges on West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus ahead of Burnley clash

West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus will be assessed upon his return to the London Stadium after picking up a back injury on international duty, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Sunday Mirror journalist, taking to his personal Twitter account (21 November) shares that the former Ajax midfielder hasn’t been risked for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifying game against Comoros on Tuesday after experiencing discomfort in his back against Madagascar.

Kudus played the full 90 minutes as the Black Stars ran out 1-0 winners against Madagascar on Friday (17 November) and 3Sports Ghana reporter Owuraku Ampofo shared footage of the moment the Hammers star appeared to sustain the injury.

Wow, West Ham United are certainly undergoing something of a huge burst of an injury crisis in so little time right now which will certainly plunge Moyes into London Stadium turmoil.

Michail Antonio pulled up with a hamstring injury on Jamaica duty, and is now set to miss around two to three weeks of action for the Hammers.

Fellow superstar Jarrod Bowen was also sent home early from the England camp due to a knock, meaning he is also doubtful to face Burnley on Saturday (25 November).

Doubts also emerged over Nayef Aguerd after his concussion picked up against Nottingham Forest and now the fitness of Kudus has been thrown into the mix, and that could be three likely starters missing out at Turf Moor next weekend.

Also, to add insult to a catalogue of blows, Vladimir Coufal was banished from the Czech Republic squad for violating protocols by attending a nightclub, while Tomas Soucek suffered a horror facial injury.

This could well be the week that totally derail the club’s ambitions this season leaving Moyes in a serious state of uncertainty right now, with a trip to Burnley to come. Let’s hope Kudus’ injury isn’t serious.

In other West Ham news, a pundit has shared his “incredible” verdict on star midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
