We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as a new exclusive columnist. He will share his opinions on West Ham’s injury situation every week.
Dr Rajpal Brar says that West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen might even need surgery after being left off of the international team.
According to the injury expert, he will have scans on his knee, which will reveal how serious his setback is.
The 26-year-old has a propensity to play through discomfort, which could make his injury worse.
Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, exclusively spoke with West Ham Zone.
“Bowen’s knee is bothering him, and more testing and scans will be performed to identify the problem.
“It does raise some concerns because he doesn’t usually complain about injuries and has a reputation for not getting hurt.
“Surgery would be the worst case scenario, but without more information, it is difficult to give any possible diagnoses.”
With eight goals and one assist in 12 Premier League games this season, Bowen has been in outstanding form for the Hammers.
David Moyes’ team has even used the England international to play down the middle as a result of the club failing to sign a striker during the summer.
The fact that he has scored in his last three Premier League games and might not be available this weekend will be a huge loss for the team.
