Nicolo Zaniolo, a winger for Aston Villa, has cautioned ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur match that his team is capable of defeating any team on their day.
After 12 games, the Villans are ranked fifth in the league table, demonstrating their excellent start to the Premier League season. This weekend, they will travel to North London to play Ange Postecoglou’s team; Spurs, with 26 points, are presently fourth in the league.
While acknowledging that Spurs are a formidable opponent, Zaniolo maintained that Villa Park is home to a very formidable team. The Italian stated unequivocally prior to the Spurs match that, in peak form, the Villans are capable of defeating any team.
Zaniolo stated to Sky Italia that “Aston Villa are a strong team. We have Tottenham coming up, and those are going to be some really tough games, but we are a good team, and if we play the right way, we can beat anybody.
“Of course, we are a strong team and we can have our say, but there are still a lot of games left and the goals are long now. The 14-time appearance maker on loan from Galatasaray for Unai Emery’s team this season will be looking to contribute when they visit North London on Sunday.
