Brighton may have surprised Nottingham Forest by quickly returning two of their best players to the training pitch.

A journalist made the claim earlier this week that Kaoru Mitoma might not play this weekend.

Recently, some footage that seems to show the player leaving for the club’s training pitch has surfaced.

The return of the Japanese superstar would be extremely beneficial to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad. This weekend, Forest is dealing with its own injury concerns. According to Steve Cooper, Taiwo Awoniyi will be sidelined for three to four months following surgery.

Now that Mitoma is back in training, Brighton
The Seagulls will be pleased to hear this. They need three points because they haven’t won in the Premier League in the last two months. They started off quickly but have faltered in recent weeks.

It would be helpful to have Mitoma back in the team for the trip to the East Midlands, and another player has been spotted.

Lewis Dunk also appears to be training alongside Mitoma in the video made public by Fantasy Football Scout.

The return of the England player would be highly anticipated as the club has been without its talisman, captain.

But it’s Mitoma that Forest may be more hesitant to confront. He boasts a lot of pace and last season gave Serge Aurier a rough time. It will be interesting to see if the 26-year-old plays this weekend or not after contributing seven goals this season. Jermain Defoe referred to the player as “incredible” during the previous season, so Forest would benefit if he were unavailable.

Forest will play Brighton in a challenging match.
Brighton is still a good team even with their recent Premier League struggles. While Mitoma’s absence would be beneficial, his replacement would probably be eager to make an impression. Brighton shouldn’t scare Forest because they played well in their most recent home game against Aston Villa. Mitoma might be training lightly and not play this weekend. Now, all eyes and ears will be on De Zerbi’s press conference to find out how serious Mitoma and Dunk’s injuries are.
