Aston Villa’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on the road has now broken the club record for wins in a calendar year.
To the jubilant delight of the supporters, Aston Villa has triumphed away from home for the first time since defeating Chelsea in September.
The first half went slowly for the Villans, but after halftime, Unai Emery made some changes that turned the tide of the match in their favour.

It’s safe to say that the club has improved greatly under Emery’s leadership. Although moving the team from 17th to 7th place is a remarkable accomplishment, the Villans aren’t going to slow down.
Villa has passed Tottenham to occupy the top four spots as of this writing, two points behind the lead.

With this statistic, the Emery revolution is easily observed. To have 22 victories under the Spaniard in 2023 is remarkable, to put it mildly.
Undoubtedly, there have been setbacks, as evidenced by the heartbreaking defeats to Leicester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.
