Brighton’s victory over Nottingham Forest, 3-2, came at a price, as their long list of injuries continued to mount on Saturday.

Despite missing several players for the match at the City Ground—including James Milner (muscular), Solly March (knee), Julio Enciso (knee), Adam Webster (knock), Kaoru Mitoma (undisclosed), Igor Julio (ankle), Mahmoud Dahoud (suspended)—Albion managed to win three points.

Tariq Lamptey and Ansu Fati were injured in the first half, but Roberto De Zerbi’s team managed to win their first Premier League game in seven despite having a thin squad and seven players under 21 on the bench.

With Lewis Dunk being sent off in the second half and likely facing a three-match suspension, the Seagulls may be missing a whopping twelve players for their pivotal Europa League matchup against AEK Athens on Thursday.

With a victory, Brighton can guarantee their spot in the competition’s knockout stages, but the growing list of injuries is limiting De Zerbi’s options.

Brighton plays three games in six days following the AEK match: on December 3, they take on Chelsea; on December 6 and December 9, respectively, they play Brentford and Burnley.
