Celtic and Rangers enter the Scottish Cup at the fourth round with the Old Firm pair handing fixtures with lower league opposition
Celtic and Rangers have discovered their Scottish Cup fourth round opponents.
The big Glasgow duo enter the competition at this stage alongside their Scottish Premiership rivals and they both will come up against lower opposition. It’s a fairytale match-up for Highland League side Buckie Thistle who are rewarded for knocking out Broxburn Athletic with a crack at Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops at Parkhead.
The holders defeated Inverness in the showpiece last season in Ange Postecoglou’s last act as gaffer to secure a domestic Treble as they bid to retain the famous old trophy. Philippe Clement gets his first taste of the competition on the road as his Rangers side travel to face League Two outfit Dumbarton. The matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday, 20 January, 2023 with full kick-off details and TV selections to be released in due course.
