Football Insider has reported that Wrexham is considering a winter transfer for Saidou Khan, a midfielder for Swindon Town.
With their ascent from the National League, Wrexham is battling it out near the top of the League Two standings. As the campaign approaches its halfway point, they are currently five points behind leaders Stockport County in second place in the standings.

The Red Dragons have no secret financial support, so it wouldn’t be shocking if funds were allocated this winter to bolster the team’s numbers in an effort to bolster their promotion push.

Khan, a star for Swindon Town, is reportedly attracting interest.

According to Football Insider, Wrexham has long been a fan of the 27-year-old midfielder, and this winter, they hope to make a deal worth about £350,000 for Khan. The Gambian midfielder, who has made 18 appearances for Swindon this season and contributed three assists, is one of League Two’s most impressive players in the middle of the park.

Moving forward
Although Wrexham is a team aiming to advance in the Football League, Khan, the winter target, has had a unique journey to reach his current position. Even though the Gambian midfielder is a regular for Swindon Town now, he has still gone a long way.

Khan played football in non-league leagues for the great majority of his career, eventually rising to Chesterfield in 2021. He earned a summer 2022 EFL transfer with Swindon thanks to a stellar season there, and he’s advanced greatly since then.

Khan is a versatile and aggressive midfield player who could be a great asset to Phil Parkinson’s team. Although Swindon won’t want to lose a vital player to a lower division opponent, Wrexham has plenty of cash.
