Due to Connor Goldson’s suspension, Rangers manager Philippe Clement will have to make at least one change for Thursday’s Europa League match against Aris Limassol (30 November).
A player with Champions League experience, Leon King, could start in Goldson’s place in a game that Rangers must win to maintain their chances of making the playoffs.
But under Clement, King has not received much of a look-in, so it is more likely that John Souttar and Ben Davies will start together.
Although Ridvan Yilmaz isn’t listed in the Gers’ European roster, Borna Barisic is good to go at left defence, James Tavernier is a lock for the other side, and Jack Butland will start in goal.
In the 1-1 draw at Aberdeen, Rabbi Matondo made a comeback to the game in the second half and will be vying for his first start in more than two months; however, Abdallah Sima appears to be the more likely option on the left.
Ryan Jack is among those advocating for inclusion, but it appears that Jose Cifuentes and John Lundstram will hold onto their spots in the engine room.
Meanwhile, Todd Cantwell has been out of form and embarrassed himself with his antics against Aberdeen, so Clement will have to make a big decision on the right-hand flank.
Given that Ross McCausland has only recently made his full debut in the Scottish Premiership, this could allow him to start for the first time in the Europa League.
Tom Lawrence is back to full fitness and a better option than the ineffective Sam Lammers to play off first-choice striker Danilo, who should be preferred over Cyriel Dessers.
