A recent report claims that Nottingham Forest has made an offer to sign a new forward during the January transfer window.

The Reds have lately gone through a difficult time, but owner Evangelos Marinakis continues to support Steve Cooper ahead of a critical stretch of games, even though the team’s performance needs to improve. Cooper has also shown defiance in his stance, as evidenced by his recent statements:

When everything seems to be going well here, I truly like my role as manager. However, I want to be the manager even more after a poor performance, or even a few poor performances, because I believe this club deserves a manager who is just as concerned as I am.

“Excessive praise and the opposite are never too far away, and certain clubs will always be noisier than others. I don’t give it much thought. I won’t do it this year, next year, or in the future.

Cooper’s attacking options will be limited for several months due to the surgery on his groyne, which will keep star striker Taiwo Awoniyi off the pitch. With Chris Wood and Divock Origi as center-forward options, Forest enters a busy phase. In the final third behind a striker, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga, and Callum Hudson-Odoi are other choices. It appears that Forest wants to add a flexible forward to their offensive options.

Reports from Turkey claim that Forest has extended an offer to sign Ryan Kent from Fenerbahce. The Englishman only recently joined the team, but the Reds hope to use a loan arrangement to send him back to his home nation before the season is out. Fenerbahce is in possession of

At Fenerbahce, “unplayable” Kent is having trouble.
Kent, who can play as a left-winger, right-winger, or a second striker, departed Scottish giants Rangers after five years during which he made over 200 appearances. Kent has not fared well in Turkey. (Transfermarkt profile of Ryan Kent)

Throughout his 15 appearances for his current employers, the 27-year-old, who was previously branded “unplayable” by journalist Andrew Dickson, has only contributed to two goals overall. (Transfermarkt statistics for Ryan Kent)

But Kent proved he was a good player at Ibrox, dishing up 56 assists and tallying 33 goals. If he can return to his peak in the UK, Kent would be a wise choice. Cooper’s future may also be something to watch in the upcoming weeks, particularly if Forest is unable to win any of its games against Fulham, Wolves, or Everton.
