Nils Koppen has been named by Rangers as the new director of football recruitment for the team.

Before joining Rangers, Koppen was the head of scouting at PSV. He has been employed by the Dutch team since 2018 with both the academy and the first team. The 38-year-old will start his new position at Ibrox on January 2 and will be in charge of overseeing the recently redesigned scouting setup in addition to making sure that elite talent is brought to the stadium. I am delighted to be joining such a prestigious club like Rangers in what is a crucial role for the club’s forward strategy,” Koppen said in a statement upon his hiring. Our player trading model has to work better and more consistently, as both the chairman and CEO have made plain in recent years.

I’m excited to collaborate with the club’s current scouting team to make sure we meet our objectives in the upcoming years. Tom Taylor has been named as Rangers’ new head of performance, the club has also confirmed.

Taylor, who was previously with Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League, will join the Gers on December 22 and work closely with Philippe Clement, Dr. Mark Waller, and the first team squad.
