Stuart Dallas, a midfielder for Leeds United, is continuing his rehabilitation in an effort to get back into action, and Daniel Farke says he has been impressed by his mental toughness. However, Dallas acknowledges that he has terrible days.
Dallas, 32, is in the last year of his Elland Road contract. He hasn’t played since breaking the joint that connects the bottom of his femur in a collision with Man City and England star Jack Grealish.
The star of Northern Ireland has resumed team training, or at least some squad training. However, Dallas hasn’t booted a ball in anger in 20 months. Phil Hay admits he knows he may not sign a new contract.
In Friday’s news conference on YouTube, Farke provided an update on Dallas’ recuperation and when we may expect to see him wearing a Leeds shirt. He also praised Dallas’ mental toughness, calling him one of the “best characters.”
He merely receives one-on-one instruction. He participated in team training a few weeks ago, but only partially. However, he returned with a few issues, and his body responded as expected. He’ll be pushed further towards team instruction.
“Stuart is not far from this, even if you have the best character or the strongest mind. Trust me. He is exceptional. It’s such a long, difficult road. He has bad days sometimes, according to Farke.
Daniel Farke was struck by Stuart Dallas’s fortitude.
Dallas has seen extreme hardships and continues to go through that phase. He has endured physical suffering, agony, anguish, and frustration, but he has not yet emerged from it. He is near, though.
If he hopes to secure a new contract, he must undoubtedly make a swift and decisive return. He does, however, provide talent in a variety of positions and second-tier winning experience.
