Manchester United is apparently showing interest in Roberto De Zerbi, therefore Brighton & Hove Albion is getting ready to make him an offer for a new contract.

Since taking over for Graham Potter a little more than a year ago, the 44-year-old Italian has made a huge impression. He led Brighton into the Europa League this season.

The former Sassuolo manager is also reportedly drawing interest from high-profile parties due to his recent management performances, including United, who will soon welcome Sir Jim Ratcliffe to their board after he successfully invested a quarter of a million dollars.

According to a TEAMtalk source earlier this week, the Red Devils have designated De Zerbi as Erik Ten Hag’s backup in the event that the Dutchman is unable to quickly turn around the team’s fortunes.

De Zerbi is ‘content’ with life at the AMEX Stadium and may even sign a new contract, according to Football Insider, despite the fact that the 20-time league winners admire him.

Even though the Italian’s contract doesn’t expire until 2026, there is still optimism that by pledging his all to the Seagulls, he would dispel rumours that he is prepared to leave the team.
