In order to leave a lasting impression at Rangers, Philippe Clement might consider making major changes for the match against St Mirren this coming weekend.

The Germans lost their home match against Aris, which appeared to be the simplest matchup in their Europa League group.

On Thursday night, they were unable to control the game or generate enough scoring opportunities, and they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

For various reasons, Leon Balogun and Connor Goldson were unable to play in the middle of the week.

Balogun did not make the matchday squad either because he is not enrolled in the Europa League and Goldson was serving a suspension. Both are anticipated to return, and they might be included in the starting lineup as well.

After struggling since joining the Rangers, Jose Cifuentes may be ready for Clement to release this team from its constraints.

Tom Lawrence and Todd Cantwell can both play as free eights, and this might be the best game to test out that strategy.

Ross McCausland, who has just made news for signing a new long-term contract with the club, will replace Sam Lammers, another player who has been underwhelming recently. With the exception of these four adjustments, the rest of the squad is essentially chosen by itself. If Ryan Jack is available, he will provide Clement with a few selection quandaries.
