According to Inside Futbol’s John Georgopoulos, Oliver Glasner is the front-runner to succeed Steve Cooper as Nottingham Forest manager.
Cooper’s Forest is currently having a bad run of results after losing to Everton at the City Ground on Saturday night in the Premier League.
Given that Forest has dropped four of its past five Premier League games, many are wondering if Cooper can withstand more setbacks.
The team remained loyal to Cooper during the last campaign, but they might be inclined to switch, in which case Austrian manager Glasner would be the front-runner. The 49-year-old Glasner, who was most recently in command of Eintracht Frankfurt, is currently unemployed.
He is well-regarded and free to enter. He guided Eintracht Frankfurt to victory in the Europa League. Over the past 12 months, Glasner has been connected to Premier League positions and was considered by Tottenham Hotspur before to Ange Postecoglou’s appointment.
The Austrian strategist, who played over 500 games as a defender for Austrian team Ried, would probably be lured to play in the Premier League. After that, Nottingham Forest hosts Wolves before playing Fulham at Craven Cottage.
