This evening at 17.30 GMT, Everton will resume their league play when they travel to Nottingham Forest.
Following a 10-point deduction, the Toffees have filed an appeal with the Premier League. However, obtaining three points at the City Ground and making progress towards survival are now the main priorities. Here are the most recent injury updates for both teams before the game.
1. Taiwo Awoniyi – out
The Forest striker was forced to have groin surgery and will be out for a prolonged period.
2. Ibrahim Sangare – minor doubt
The midfielder was absent for Forest’s loss against Brighton because of illness. Much will depart on whether he’s recovered after Steve Cooper admitted Sangare was ‘knocked for six’.
3. Felipe – out
The defender hasn’t played for Forest since May because of a knee injury.
4. Dele – out
The midfielder is back training on the grass but it is still too early for him to be considered for Everton duty.
5. Andre Gomes – out
An ongoing calf problem has meant the midfielder hasn’t been in a match-day squad since Everton’s opening-day loss to Fulham.
6. Amadou Onana – doubt
The Everton midfielder has been struggling with a calf issue that forced him to leave Belgium’s camp early during the international break.
7.Beto
– minor doubt
The striker was a surprise absence against Man Utd because of a collision suffered in training. Everton boss Sean Dyche did not sound to fearful, though.
