According to reports, Nottingham Forest made a €25 million offer for Federico Gatti in August, but Juventus turned it down.

Having started all 12 of Juventus’s Serie A games this season, the Italian defender has been in excellent form. With one more game played than Inter Milan, Massimiliano Allegri’s team leads the Italian league thanks in part to his performances.

In January 2022, Gatti moved from Frosinone to join the Turin giants. Since then, he has played in 39 games for Juventus.

Furthermore, rumours in the Italian newspaper Tuttosport state that the Reds intended to sign the 25-year-old in the summer. Allegri, the club’s manager, is rumoured to have prevented his departure.

It’s said that Gatti’s standout performances for Juventus during their US preseason tour destroyed Forest’s hopes of acquiring the centre defender.

Coach Luciano Spalletti of Italy also called up Gatti in October and November. In a 0-0 tie with England in 2022, he earned his senior debut for the Azzurri under Roberto Mancini.

During the summer transfer window, Forest signed thirteen players. Callum Hudson-Oodi of Chelsea and Anthony Elanga of Manchester United were two of them.
