The most recent information on Leeds United as Daniel Farke gets his team ready for their match against Blackburn on Saturday
Here are the latest Leeds United headlines for Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Jordan Miles
Jordan Miles, Aberdeen’s head of recruitment, has apparently been approached by Leeds for a position at Elland Road. According to Scottish reports, the Whites are eager to add him before the January transfer window closes.
Miles was a member of the West Ham staff before moving north to play for the Dons. According to the Aberdeen Press & Journal, any relocation would require the agreement on a compensation cost.
newest injury
Luke Ayling’s availability for this weekend’s Championship test at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers will be decided at the last minute by Leeds United boss Daniel Farke.
Due to injury, Junior Firpo will miss the game once more, and Ian Poveda is unavailable due to his call-up to the Colombian national team. Farke did, however, disclose that defender Ayling was questionable following his complaint of a knee issue during this week’s practise.
In his pre-match press conference today, Farke stated, “We have to manage the load. There were a few knocks after the last game.” “Last week, Joe Gelhardt encountered some issues. Sam Byram, Crysencio Summerville, and Joffy (Gelhardt) had some issues early in the week and had to handle the load a little bit, but all three of them were heavily involved in training today, so I anticipate they will all be available and in good condition.
“Obviously, Ian Poveda’s call-up to the Colombian national team and Junior Firpo’s injury are on our minds. Other than this, Luke Ayling’s status is still unclear given he has just recently had two full training days, but he did disclose mild knee issues yesterday. This is really the main issue, but I hope he can train again with the team tomorrow (Friday) so that he can be available.
