Ben Tozer acknowledges that he was taken aback by the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ cameras, causing him to snap at Paul Mullin in the dressing room, which was broadcast for everyone to see.

Consequently, what happened?
A minor altercation between two major Red Dragons camp leaders occurred during the halftime break of a pivotal National League matchup with promotion rivals Notts County. Fingers were pointed in all directions, the air at SToK Racecourse turned blue, and Wrexham found themselves trailing at the interval — in a race they would ultimately win in the most dramatic of fashions. No tongues were bit.

THOUGH TOZER SAID
When asked about witnessing his heated conversation featured in the documentary series that tracks Wrexham’s every move on and off the field, Tozer told the Men In Blazers podcast: “I never would have said it in that moment if I had known there was a camera there.” One of them is where I’ve frequently entered at halftime. You see the camera there and think, “I need to get a lot off my chest here,” but I’m unable to do so because of it.

You must be genuine; you don’t want to appear as though you are acting for the cameras. I was unaware of the camera’s presence at the time. Observing such genuine moments that are difficult to capture when cameras are present is pleasant. However, you don’t frequently need to question one another because we are a trustworthy bunch of players. Everyone makes errors; accept that and move forward.

Ben Foster’s stoppage-time penalty save gave Wrexham the victory in question, 3-2, and all three points. After that, Phil Parkinson’s team maintained composure and won the National League pennant in an unprecedented manner.

FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
Although Wrexham is a passionate team, there are still moments when tempers boil, yet Tozer and Mullin have helped the Red Dragons get back into the running for another promotion; they are presently leading League Two.
