A club president is expected to pay Nottingham Forest a visit shortly, according to rumours from Turkey.

According to FotoMac, recently appointed Besiktas first team player Hasan Arat is planning a trip to make potential acquisitions. Arat is looking for winter reinforcements.

A center-back is reportedly their first priority, which is where Nottingham Forest fit in.

Scott McKenna is apparently of interest to Besiktas, and Arat will “go to the island” to discuss a possible trade with the Reds.
According to the source, McKenna hasn’t been playing much at City Ground this season, and since he “intends to leave,” the Turkish team could consider signing him.

It is also mentioned that Arat’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, which is perceived as a “opportunity” for him to secure a cheap transfer.

McKenna made five appearances for Nottingham Forest this season, all of which were at the beginning of the league; after that, he was never again included in the team.

His final game was on September 18, against Burnley.
