Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United manager Daniel Farke cautioned his squad against adding too many superstars to prevent perhaps causing strife.

During the summer transfer window, the Whites did not hesitate to add some elite players, as Joel Piroe and Ethan Ampadu both arrived at Elland Road for substantial sums of money.

However, they also added some less striking players. Sam Byram, a full-back who has proven to be one of the summer’s best arrivals, returned to Elland Road after his contract with Norwich City expired.

Despite losing a number of players to leave, they were able to maintain a highly respectable roster at this level because of the caliber of the signings they made, which offset the losses.

Now in third position, they are on the right track after a lackluster start to the campaign. Even though they are now having difficulty catching up to Leicester City and Ipswich Town, it is not their fault, and if they can continue to play consistently, they should be able to cut that disadvantage in the upcoming weeks and months.

Farke says, “You have to spend the money wisely”
If the Whites sell some of their most valued assets, they might have a respectable sum of cash in January.

During his pre-match press conference, Farke stressed to his team not to add too many elite players, saying that the most important thing is to focus on yourself. Happy days indeed, especially if you have a 2.00 point average there as we do.

“It goes without saying that money always helps to attract excellence, but it also takes hard work, excellent morals, and maintaining equilibrium. It might destroy the entire mood and enthusiasm to bring in one elite player after another.

“You have to spend the money wisely, it makes your life easier if you have money but it doesn’t take anything away from hard and good work in recruitment, that the quality and character of the player suits and the identification with the shirt.”

Leeds shouldn’t be seeking to spend a lot of money in the transfer market because they didn’t bring in large sums of money for many players.

Farke has acknowledged that, despite the fact that it would help them win a Premier League return, there’s a danger it might upset too many people. In their pursuit of overtaking Leicester and Ipswich, that is the very last thing they require. However, they might benefit from adding a few loan players.

Junior Firpo’s departure wouldn’t be shocking, and if he does, the team will require a left-back replacement. And although though Patrick Bamford and Georginio Rutter are already available to Farke, he will undoubtedly need a striker if Joe Gelhardt departs.
