Leeds United travels to Blackburn Rovers to start a stretch of seven games in just over three weeks.
In the early kickoff at Ewood Park, the Whites will be trying to win the Championship for the third time in a row and maintain pressure on the top two.
Daniel Farke will need to carefully manage his team over the next several weeks due to their tight schedule, but fortunately, he currently only has two or three injury concerns.
Sam Byram and Crysencio Summerville were two of the individuals that struggled earlier in the week, but if all goes well, they should be ready for tomorrow. That being said, this is our expected starting lineup.
Goalkeeper
Illan Meslier keeps his place in goal.
Defence
As previously stated, Byram is expected to be healthy for the game and thus takes the field at left-back while Junior Firpo continues to heal from a hamstring injury he sustained against Swansea City ten days ago.
Archie Gray maintains his spot on the opposite flank while Djed Spence approaches the starting lineup; Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon maintain their center-back partnership.
Midfield
Ilia Gruev will be aiming for one or two starts in the upcoming games, but tomorrow’s matchup of Ethan Ampadu and Glen Kamara makes it doubtful.
Attack
Summerville maintains his position on the left, with Dan James once more on the other, as he is anticipated to be fit to start at Ewood Park, much like Byram.
The other three players in the front four are Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter, Willy Gnonto, and Patrick Bamford, who are all hoping for more playing time over the Christmas season.
During yesterday’s news conference, Farke mentioned Gnonto and Bamford. With regard to the former, there is little question that he will receive several starts in the upcoming weeks.
