In yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Wolves, Harry Toffolo scored his first Premier League goal for Nottingham Forest.

In the end, the Reds had to make do with a share of the victory, but Toffolo deservedly earned his first goal for the team.

The 28-year-old has been a consistent member of the squad since October, and he has seized the chance.

In this match at Molineux, Forest took the lead through Toffolo in the 14th minute, but Matheus Cunha pulled them back before halftime.

The left-back should be commended greatly for his behavior this season. He was facing some gambling-related accusations in the summer, and it was unclear if he would be permitted to play football this year at all.

But those days are passed, as Toffolo has stormed back into form with Forest in recent weeks.

“So proud to wear this badge,” he said in a heartfelt greeting to the club’s followers on X, the former Twitter, following yesterday’s game.

Toffolo will now lose the left-back position.

Ola Aina was starting at left defense earlier in the season, while Forest also acquired Nuno Tavares on loan from Arsenal. However, Toffolo currently owns the jersey, and it will take a significant event for him to lose it. Recently, Toffolo has been playing with abandon, and it seems that head coach Steve Cooper supports him.

The Reds defender gives every game his all, and his dedication to the cause more than makes up for any shortcomings in skill.

Toffolo has quietly gone unnoticed this season, and he now hopes to play and develop at Forest.
