The New Saints made the last four of the Bute Energy Wales Cup, along with Cardiff City Women, Swansea City and Wrexham.

Leucu Matthias opened the scoring for Aberystwyth at TNS, whose Ella Hartley and Georgia Griffiths netted before Aber’s Gwenllian Jones forced penalties. Lia Lewis converted the decisive spot-kick for The New Saints.

Wrexham saw off Briton Ferry with two second-half goals, Rosie Hughes making the breakthrough just after half time and substitute Libby Mackenzie adding the second.

Pontypridd United conceded an early own-goal and Cardiff City Women soon doubled their lead through Tija Richardson. Eliza Collie got the third for the Bluebirds in the dying minutes.

Lower division Cascade gave Swansea City an early scare with a goal from E Parry but Stacey John-Davis turned it round with a brace, Kelsey Davis then giving the Swans a 3-1 interval lead. Katy Hosford scored twice in the latter stages and Jasmine Guymer got the sixth in stoppage time.

The semi-final draw will be made live on RedWall+ at 8pm on Wednesday 13 December.

Genero Adran League and Trophy games were postponed.
