There are numerous injury concerns for both Brighton and Arsenal going into the match.

Mohamed Elneny – Out

Arsenal rested eight players for their European stalemate against PSV Eindhoven but ultimately lost Mohamed Elneny to a hamstring injury.

Takehiro Tomiyasu – Out
Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu misses Arsenal’s home clash with Brighton with a calf injury which will rule him out for most of the Christmas period.

Thomas Partey – Out

Thomas Partey has missed almost the entirety of the season with a thigh injury which will keep him out until at least January 2024.

Fabio Vieira – Out

Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieria is another absentee for the Gunners. He missed the weekend’s game with a groin problem.

Jurrien Timber – Out

Summer signing Jurrien Timber is expected to miss most of the season with a serious ACL injury which was sustained in the opening game against Nottingham Forest.

Emile Smith-Rowe – Doubt

Emile Smith-Rowe made a quicker than expected return to the team during Arsenal’s draw with PSV. Despite being available it is likely that Mikel Arteta will slowly integrate him back into the team after his injury.

Bukayo Saka – Doubt

Bukayo Saka had a slight foot injury which led to him being rested in the Champions League. Despite this concern he should be available for this weekend’s league game.

Gabriel Martinelli – Doubt

Gabriel Martinelli was rested in midweek due to illness but is expected to make a full recovery for the Brighton game.

Summer signing Ansu Fati is expected to miss the trip to Arsenal with a thigh injury.

Pervis Estupinan – Out

Pervis Estupinan was one of last season’s outstanding performers. However, this season has been a frustrating one due to injury and he once again misses out with a thigh problem.

Tariq Lamptey – Out

Pacey defender Tariq Lamptey also misses the trip to the Emirates Stadium with a thigh problem.

Julio Enisco – Out

Paraguay prodigy Julio Enisco impressed at the end of last season but has been limited to just two appearances this term with a knee injury.

Solly March made a fine start to the season but remains in the treatment room for this one due to a knee injury.

Danny Welbeck – Doubt

Danny Welbeck is on his way back from injury but is unlikely to be ready for the game against his former employers.

Adam Webster – Doubt

Defender Adam Webster could return to the side after a slight knock.

Joao Pedro – Doubt

In-form striker Joao Pedro was forced off in the dying moments of the victory against Marseille. He faces a late fitness test but is likely to be involved in some capacity.
