There were those among us at one time who believed Dyche would be a good West Ham managerial option. They weren’t wrong.
As I write, his new club Everton are beating his old team Burnley at Turf Moor 0-2 and should it carry on this way they will have erased the 10 point loss they suffered at the hands of the Premier League who still can’t come to a conclusion on Manchester City who are far more guilty of breaking the rules than the Toffees.
Dyche is proving his West Ham admirers right!
It also has to be said that right now the Scousers are looking a far better team at Turf Moor than the Hammers were a couple of weeks ago until of course Mohammed Kudus and Tomas Soucek got involved.
I’ve always like Dyche who is managing David Moyes old club and brought his team to the London Stadium and saw us off 0-1 back in April in what was a very decent performance. This is not to suggest that he should have replaced the Hammers boss but there is no question he is a far better manager than many gave him credit for when her was out of work following the Burnley gig.
To have kept the team in the Premier League for that length of time was a mini marvel but what he is doing at Goodison is close to a miracle as things stand.
