Before the Newport County match, the Wrexham manager updates the injury status of Aaron Hayden.
The 26-year-old’s previous game was earlier this month, when they defeated Yeovil Town, a team in the National League South, 3-0 at home in the FA Cup. Since then, he has missed their last two games across all categories.
According to a report by The Leader, Parkinson provided an update on his condition and stated that Aaron was making reasonable improvement. Though it’s simply a minor injury, we’ll have to wait and see.
recent Wrexham injury
Hayden has to return to the field for Wrexham as soon as possible in order to prepare for some important games over the holiday season.
If necessary, they can choose from other candidates in his place, including Will Boyle, Eoghan O’Connell, and Tom O’Connor.
In 2021, the Red Dragons made an attempt to sign Hayden and convinced him to leave Carlisle United in the Football League in favor of the National League.
Since then, he has played in 82 games across all competitions, 12 of which have been in the league this season, and he has contributed an outstanding 20 goals from defense.
Although Hayden was formerly signed by Chelsea and Wolves as a young player, in recent years he has made the Racecourse Ground his home.
With a game remaining, Parkinson’s team is six points behind league leaders Stockport County and is tied for second place in the standings with Barrow. Last time out, they won 2-1 at home against Colchester United.
The return of striking duo Ryan Barnett and Steven Fletcher to training has also helped the Wrexham team.
