When Aston Villa hosts Sheffield United at Villa Park, they hope to continue their incredible run of home victories. This is the lineup we projected.

Aston Villa’s recent run of home victories has been exceptional. They have surpassed a club record in recent weeks, and they plan to smash even more.

This week, Sheffield United will make an appearance at Villa Park, so Unai Emery and his team can be optimistic about continuing their winning streak. They are a struggling team, but it does not mean that the game will be easy for them.

Chris Wilder began this week’s remarks by praising Villa, but it’s obvious that he wants his team to go out and upset the odds.

After all of that, let’s look at our projected starting lineup for Aston Villa versus Sheffield United.

Aston Villa Predicted XI

Emi Martinez will once again line up between the sticks at Villa Park—you already know the routine. Despite his moment of insanity against Brentford, he nevertheless produced some outstanding saves that contributed to Villa’s victory.

Pau Torres’ injury will cause a change in the starting lineup for the backline. Diego Carlos and Clement Lenglet will form our projected starting XI’s center-back tandem. Despite the numerous rumors around the Frenchman, this is the ideal Premier League opportunity for him. Carlos will continue to start since he has shown excellent play in previous weeks—none more so than against Arsenal.

Lucas Digne will start at left back for the full-back positions despite Alex Moreno’s goal and performance in the match last time out. The Spaniard requires recuperation as he recovers from a chronic injury. Conversely, given his performance when playing at right back, Ezri Konsa will continue to hold that position.

Douglas Luiz will make his return to the midfield trio after missing Brentford due to a suspension. Leander Dendoncker will start alongside him in a rare appearance because Boubacar Kamara is sidelined for three games.

John McGinn will remain in that position regardless of which of those two people he flips a coin between, Leon Bailey or Jacob Ramsey. When the Englishman first started returning, he was optimistic.

Ollie Watkins, up front, will play the role of Villa’s top striker once more. He is eager to add his tenth goal to his total as he currently has nine. Jhon Duran might also be worth starting next to him, but Moussa Diaby is the player we’ve selected for our projected starting XI. The Frenchman needs to play, gain more self-assurance, and rediscover his explosive form.

Aston Villa predicted XI: Martinez, Konsa, Carlos, Lenglet, Digne, Bailey, Luiz, Dendoncker, McGinn, Watkins, Diaby
