British football fans have grown accustomed to praising Ange Postecoglou, but Sean Dyche has now weighed in with his own opinions.
After expressing his affection for Ange Postecoglou, the Tottenham Hotspur manager, Sean Dyche would like to get a beer together.
The media has praised the Spurs manager extensively for his laid-back, straightforward style during interviews and press conferences. His footballing style and charisma have made him a fan favorite on the white side of North London.
The opposition manager, Dyche, could not contain his admiration for his Australian counterpart in the lead-up to Tottenham’s encounter against Everton. Comparing himself to the 58-year-old, the former Burnley manager said that he approached management in a similar way.
“[He is] my kind of guy,” wryly grinned Dyche. “Perhaps we could open a cold one together.”
“He recently stated that he wants to win. I don’t know him, but I like what I’ve heard and the way he’s speaking very honestly. He stated that he wants to be remembered for his victories rather than for his style of play.
“I must admit that approach has revived me. That seems like the kind of man I like.
Even if their playing styles are completely different, their modest and sensible dispositions do compare well. Dyche frequently used perseverance and hard effort to build his victories at Burnley, and while Postecoglou’s style is radically different, the principles are close enough of Dyche.
But there will be no love lost on Saturday afternoon as two teams with contrasting styles try to get the edge over each other. It should be an exciting match between two committed groups of players.
