Tottenham Hotspur face a difficult trip to Brighton on Thursday and Ange Postecoglou will have to make some key decisions over his starting lineup.

Spurs picked up a narrow 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday thanks to goals from Richarlison and Heung-Min Son.

It certainly wasn’t plain-sailing for Tottenham though, with Everton unfortunate not to pick up at least a point from the game.

Postecoglou was forced into a change at halftime as the injured Cristian Romero was replaced by Eric Dier.

Oliver Skipp was also handed his first start in the Premier League since the opening day at Brentford.

The 23-year-old did fairly well on the day as he provided plenty of energy in the middle of the park. But in our view, Ange Postecoglou may opt for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the No6 role on Thursday evening.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Brighton
Postecoglou could be forced into a change at the back after he admitted Romero felt ‘tightness’ in his hamstring in the win over Everton.

But the Aussie boss will welcome back Destiny Udogie after the youngster missed Saturday’s clash through suspension.

This would allow Postecoglou to move Emerson Royal to centre-back alongside Ben Davies, with Pedro Porro and Udogie at full-back.

Spurs didn’t quite manage to dominate Saturday’s game against Everton, with Postecoglou opting for a midfield three of Pape Matar Sarr, Dejan Kulusevski and Skipp.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg came off the bench in the second half but had little time to impact the game after replacing Sarr.

While Postecoglou opted for Skipp over the £15 million man in North London, he may favour Hojbjerg for a difficult trip to the Amex Stadium.

Spurs will have the luxury of naming an unchanged front three though, with Heung-Min Son, Richarlison and Brennan Johnson all starting in the last three games.

Here is our Tottenham predicted XI for the clash against Brighton in full.
