Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, has announced his starting lineup for tonight’s 8 p.m. kickoff against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

He has chosen to start Diego Carlos and Leander Dendoncker, two different players from the team that played Sheffield United last Friday. Pau Torres, who has recovered from an injury, is one of the substitutes for tonight’s game.

Tonight, Villa takes on United, which has dropped four of their previous seven home league games, in an attempt to win their 13th league title of the year. This season, Erik ten Hag’s team has also dropped 13 games across all competitions, which is a record for most losses before Christmas since 1930.

Villa enters the match fresh off a 1-1 tie at Villa Park against Sheffield United and has won seven of their previous nine away from home. Before kickoff, there are presently 11 points separating Villa and United.

Emi Martinez starts in goal behind a defence of Ezri Konsa, Carlos, Clement Lenglet and Lucas Digne. Dendoncker will play alongside Douglas Luiz in midfield.

John McGinn will play from the right and Jacob Ramsey on the left as Ollie Watkins is supported by Leon Bailey in attack.
