Pau Torres, the defender, is still a serious doubt for Villa ahead of their encounter against Manchester United tonight.
Due to an ankle injury, Torres was forced to miss Friday’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield United. Although the injury is not believed to be serious, manager Unai Emery acknowledged that it might be “difficult” for the Spain international to heal in time for the trip to Old Trafford.
After making his first Premier League appearance of the season against the Blades, Clement Lenglet is once again prepared to fill in, and Emery may decide to give Leander Dendoncker his first league start of the year while Boubacar Kamara is still out due to suspension.
Matty Cash will not be playing for Villa after receiving his fifth booking of the year on Friday night.
