The co-chairman of West Ham, David Sullivan, is quoted by insider Claret & Hugh in what they call “fantastic” contract news. West Ham secures a new contract for Bowen.
In a major move for the team earlier this year, West Ham secured the long-term commitment of top player Jarrod Bowen with better terms.

With just 17 Premier League starts under his belt, the England international has been an incredibly crucial player for David Moyes this season. Declan Rice’s departure in the summer has further increased the importance of his play.

The Irons acknowledged that Bowen had assumed Rice’s role as West Ham’s key figurehead and rewarded the winger with a long-term contract that runs through 2030 in October.

Bowen commented on his new deal, saying, “I’m so pleased to have signed a new long-term contract at West Ham” (via whufc.co.uk).

“My family and I are highly attached to devoting my future till 2030, since everyone is aware of the significance this Club holds for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my entire stay here. Securing the victory in the final minute of the Europa Conference League in Prague was an incredible experience that I will always treasure.

It has left us all yearning for that sensation time and time again—we want to make more memories with this incredible football team, for our amazing fans, and together.”

But even with his dedication to West Ham, there are rumors circulating that, as 2024 approaches, teams such as Liverpool are interested in signing Bowen.

Supporters would be really concerned about this, as they won’t want to see another big talent depart so quickly following Rice’s £105 million transfer to Arsenal.

Insider disputes Bowen’s assertions in Sullivan’s communication
Additionally, it has been suggested that Bowen’s new contract contains a release clause for interested parties; however, Sullivan has denied this.

The West Ham board member is quoted by Irons insider Claret & Hugh as saying that Bowen is fully committed to east London and that there is no caveat in his contract.

“We had a one-on-one meeting about six weeks ago, and we resolved everything in about twelve hours,” Sullivan told C&H. “There’s not a single release clause. He feels completely safe with us and adores West Ham.”

The publication calls this “fantastic” news for Moyes and company, who don’t actually have to worry about losing Bowen anytime soon. Mark Noble, the sports director of West Ham, remarks on Jurgen Klopp’s affection for the former Hull City player and adds that he was never concerned.

He just signed a new long-term contract with us a month ago, so to be honest, it didn’t worry him, he said to TNT Sports (via Liverpool Echo).

“Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, in my opinion, have always been huge supporters of Jarrod Bowen.” With the manner Jurgen plays and arranges his squads.”
