In an attempt to salvage Nottingham Forest’s dismal form, Nuno Espirito Santo will not hesitate to switch goalkeepers.

Matt Turner has been informed by the Reds’ recently hired head coach that his spot on the team is not assured. Additionally, he has made hints that a change may be coming, possibly as soon as tomorrow’s Boxing Day match against Newcastle United.

Nuno Espirito Santo will not think twice about switching goalkeepers in an effort to turn around Nottingham Forest’s terrible performance.

The newly hired head coach of the Reds has advised Matt Turner that his position on the team is not guaranteed. He has also hinted at the possibility of a change, perhaps as soon as tomorrow’s Boxing Day game against Newcastle United.

Since relocating to the City Ground in the summer, neither Turner nor teammate Odysseas Vlachodimos have been able to secure the top position. The ideal situation would be to have a first-choice that is well-established, but Nuno acknowledges that he is not in a position to outline that at this time.

“Performance is what matters right now, but I would prefer to tell you that Turner will start in goal,” he stated. Since the focus is on performance, every choice we make will be determined by the level of output we expect from our team. All of our players need to get better, but especially our goalkeepers.

Forest suffered their fourth straight home loss to the Cherries. As they go to St. James’ Park, they had only won once in the previous 14 games.

“Performance is what matters right now, but I would prefer to tell you that Turner will start in goal,” he said. Since performance is the main focus, every decision we make will be based on the caliber of work we anticipate from our team. Our goalkeepers in particular need to improve, but all of our players do.

The Cherries defeated Forest at home for the fourth time in a row. They had won just once in the previous 14 games going into St. James’ Park.
