The supporters of Wrexham are pleading with the club’s owners to allow them to recruit Arthur Okonkwo, an Arsenal loanee, permanently.
Following facial surgery, Arthur Okonkwo of Arsenal recently found his way back into the starting lineup for Wrexham. He has since made a faultless recovery, keeping two clean sheets in two games.
Most recently, Okonkwo played the whole ninety minutes as 10-man Wrexham defeated Swindon Town 1-0. The goalie for Arsenal, who was saved late into injury time, helped his club win.
With the victory, Wrexham moved up to second place in the League Two standings, even though Mansfield Town is still only one point behind with a game remaining.
With an outstanding record of eight clean sheets in his fifteen games for Wrexham, it is understandable why supporters on social media were urging owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds to sign Okonkwo on a permanent basis.
It’s encouraging to see a team that is this keen to recruit an Arsenal loanee on a permanent basis, and it speaks highly of the player’s performance thus far.
Hopefully, the goalkeeper for Arsenal will keep up his good play for the rest of the season and get promoted.
