According to a rumor, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is reportedly in advanced talks with the player in question, and Nottingham Forest is on the verge of making a January acquisition.

Nottingham Forest is getting ready for the window of transfers.
Although Steve Cooper was dismissed as manager by Nuno at Nottingham Forest recently, the East Midlands team nonetheless triumphed over Newcastle United on Boxing Day to give their struggling Premier League campaign new life.

However, after the Tricky Trees play their next game against Manchester United on Saturday, attention will turn to their efforts during the January transfer window.

After the match against Erik ten Hag’s team, Forest will have nine days to prepare for their FA Cup match against Blackpool, giving them time to handle some possible business. Pierre Ekwah, a midfield player for Sunderland, has reportedly become a midfield target at the City Ground, according to sources earlier this month.

More recently, sources in Italy have also identified Genoa defender Radu Dragusin in relation to Nottingham Forest as a potential addition. The Romanian international, who won’t be permitted to leave for less than €25 million, is reportedly also a target for Tottenham Hotspur. Regarding the 21-year-old, communication has been established, but it’s unclear if either party would be open to that

As Nuno gets used to life at the club, rumors about transfer transactions in the East Midlands might persist in the upcoming weeks. According to a source, he appears to be on the verge of making a breakthrough with his first acquisition at the team—an attacking player.

Gelson Martins is being approached by Nottingham Forest…
With only six months remaining on his contract at The Stade Louis-II, AS Monaco winger Gelson Martins is reportedly nearing a move to Nottingham Forest. Reports from Portugal indicate this.

It is thought that the former Portugal international is currently in advanced talks to move to the City Ground on a permanent transfer, despite getting offers from teams in the United States and Russia.

The 28-year-old, who was called “incisive” by former manager Diego Simeone, hasn’t played for Monaco this season. Joining fellow countryman Nuno on a fresh endeavor at Nottingham Forest would be the perfect remedy to get his career back on track. The wide player from Cape Verde did demonstrate his eye for goal last season, registering almost 1.1 shots on goal per game in Ligue 1, despite his lack of playing time for the principality (Martins statistics – Sofascore).

A move for Martins in the New Year will be interesting to monitor since the Tricky Trees could use more alternatives in the final third and it now seems that they have strengthened a position where they have been somewhat thin on numbers coming into the second half of the season.
