Given that Marvin Ducksch has no intention of leaving Werder Bremen, it appears like Nottingham Forest will not be signing him in January.

After watching Chris Wood score a hat-trick, it would sound absurd, but Forest might look to the January transfer window to add another forward.

While Taiwo Awoniyi is now sidelined due to injury, Divock Origi has not yet made an impression.

Though few could blame him for harboring fantasies for another goal scorer, new manager Nuno Espirito Santo will continue to assess and analyze his Forest team. Nuno’s arrival to replace Steve Cooper may have further altered Forest’s transfer ambitions, although one prior target can still be ruled out.

Transfer attitude of Marvin Ducksch is revealed following Nottingham Forest rumors
In November of last year, reports came out of Germany indicating that Forest was very interested in signing Werder Bremen forward Marvin Ducksch. Ducksch impressed for Werder, and it was rumored that a cost of about £13 million would be required for him.

The 29-year-old had a strong relationship with Niklas Fullkrug last season, scoring 12 goals and dishing out seven assists. Ducksch has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 16 Bundesliga games this season, demonstrating his continuous excellence. At 6 feet 2 inches tall, Ducksch is a muscular presence who has occasionally played as a left-sided winger. Although Ducksch seems unlikely to be moving, Forest would enjoy that kind of mobility.

Ducksch will not be moving in January, according to Deich Stube, a Werder-based team, totally ruling out a transfer.

Ducksch doesn’t want to relocate, which could hurt his prospects of representing Germany at Euro 2024, according to Inside Futbol. The talented former Borussia Dortmund player has a cheap release clause that can be exercised at the end of the current campaign, so he could go in the summer.

Although Forest will likely continue to monitor Ducksch and his circumstances, a January transfer currently seems unlikely.
