Luiz has appeared for Villa in 26 games this season, contributing directly to eight goals in the Premier League.
In 2019, Aston Villa bought Douglas Luiz from Manchester City for a reported £15 million. The Brazilian midfielder did not play in the first team for Manchester City when he first arrived as a 19-year-old from Vasco Da Gama. Luiz spent a term on loan at Girona of the City Football Group prior to relocating to Villa Park.
