The most recent information about Aston Villa, including a sneak peek at the new crest that will be worn on uniforms starting in the upcoming season.
Aston Villa has provided an update regarding the new club crest, stating that it should be available in a few days.
Despite only being launched this summer, it was confirmed back in September that the revised round badge will not be utilized beyond this season. It follows the initiation of an identity review process in the summer of 2022.
Season ticket holders and members were able to choose between two finalist designs; the round design received 77 percent of the vote, while the gas bulb design received only 6 percent. Nevertheless, it has been determined that since its introduction, it has not had the desired effect.
The club provided an update on the new crest earlier this month during a meeting with the Fan Advisory board. It was revealed in notes released by My Old Man Said that the new crest, which would be worn starting in the upcoming season, was heavily influenced by the findings of recent fan polls.
Additionally, it was reported that 81% of respondents preferred to see the club name featured, 85% preferred to see the European Cup star included, and most wanted to see a shield shaped like a left-facing lion. After the December 20 meeting, the club confirmed that the consultation was finished and that they will unveil the crest “approximately two weeks” later.
It was also stated that the newly unveiled marque is not the new crest and would just be utilized for the duration of the upcoming season to commemorate the club’s 150th anniversary.
The V Sports relationship was one of the other subjects discussed during the meeting; the club confirmed that it is currently unlikely that they will cooperate with the Las Vegas Villians. An update on the Villa Park renovation was also provided, and it was reaffirmed that there are no intentions to relocate from the stadium in light of the postponement of the North Stand plans.
