In anticipation of today’s Old Firm derby, supporters gathered outside Ibrox gave the Rangers team a boisterous send-off.

Celtic hosts Rangers in today’s lunchtime kick-off in the Scottish Premiership. It will be the second meeting of the teams this season.

Right now, Brendan Rodgers’ team is leading the table with a five-point advantage over their fiercest rivals in Glasgow.

Even though Philippe Clement’s team is behind, they still have two games left against the reigning champions, and a victory at Parkhead this afternoon could cut the deficit to just two points.

Rangers’ fans won’t be inside Celtic Park for the match due to the ongoing disagreement between the two teams regarding the distribution of away tickets.

However, that does not imply that the supporters of Light Blues have not been heard.

This morning at around 10 a.m., a sizable gathering gathered outside Ibrox to support the squad as they boarded the team bus and started the brief trip across the city.

Some people were spotted holding flares in the air, and videos posted on social media also featured fireworks, which could be heard as the audience chanted and applauded for their favorites.

Flares could be seen being held aloft by some, with fireworks also audible from videos shared on social media, as the crowd chanted and cheered on their favourites.

Team news will be coming up from Parkhead within the next hour.

Midfielder John Lundstram is in contention to make his return from injury in the Old Firm game against Celtic after he took part in training at Auchenhowie yesterday.

Lundstram, who has been one of manager Clement’s most consistent performers in recent weeks, has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in the cinch Premiership match against St Johnstone nine days ago.

However, the Englishman, who had looked set to be out until after the winter break next month, and his team mate Connor Goldson both came through a final session under the watchful eye of Clement.
