In the SEC, the Arkansas Razorbacks’ season was one to forget. Even with an excellent quarterback in KJ Jefferson, they were last in the conference. On the field, the team was never able to pull it all together. When linebacker Jaheim Thomas declared he was going through the transfer portal this offseason, the program suffered yet another setback.

Kansas City Chiefs Drop LB Jaheim Thomas To The Portal of Transfer
With ninety tackles and three sacks, Thomas led the team in tackles made. Thomas moved to Arkansas after playing for Cincinnati during his first two years. The fact that fellow linebacker Chris Paul Jr. also accessed the link means that the team won’t have its top two tacklers from the previous campaign in 2024. To cover the vacuum left by these two superstars, they will need to rely on some new potential.

2024 Prospects
In 2024, the Razorbacks face a tough schedule, but that is typical in the SEC. During the regular season, they will play LSU, Texas, Ole Miss, and Missouri. In addition, there are still games against Auburn, Texas A&M, and Tennessee. The SEC is the best conference in college football, so this isn’t shocking, but Arkansas will need to perform better than they did in 2023 to avoid having another difficult season.

Can the Arkansas Razorbacks bounce back in 2024? They will need to replenish some talent in some way in order to compete with the rest of the conference.
