West Ham is still in the top six of the Premier League after their most recent match, a 0-0 draw with Brighton. This puts them in position to try and finish in the Champions League spots in the second half of the 2023–2024 season.

Despite a setback early in the season that would have otherwise seen the Hammers much higher up the table at this time, David Moyes has once again done an outstanding job with the team.

Living and breathing in the Europa League as well, 2017 may prove to be another classic season for the East London team.

But behind the scenes, things are not going well.

Recently, West Ham exercised their one-year option on Vladimir Coufal, who has the most assists from open play of any defender in the English Premier League this year, according to Sky Sports.

Furthermore, the source states that Coufal wishes to depart as soon as possible since he is dissatisfied with the amount of West Ham’s latest offer to him.

Given that the right-back has been among Moyes’ most dependable players over the last few seasons, such a situation would be devastating.
