Thilo Kehrer, a defender for West Ham, is almost certain to go on loan to AS Monaco in France during the January transfer window.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany claims that Kehrer’s relocation to Monaco is “almost a done deal now.” Kehrer has struggled to earn regular games under David Moyes, as he has been surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.
Plettenberg claims that the first contract was exchanged within the last two days, despite the fact that he was strongly connected to leaving West Ham in January. Kehrer might take a plane to Monaco and complete the transaction as early as Thursday, December 4, if all goes according to plan.
The 27-year-old defender is only on loan to Monaco for the next six months, with a €500k loan fee. They are obligated to purchase him for approximately €11.5 million, though.
How could anyone else leave West Ham?
In order to make place for new players, the Hammers must let go of members of their current roster. David Moyes may permit Said Benrahma to depart in January, as he has been connected to a transfer to Lyon.
There has been reports that clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in signing Nayef Aguerd, but the centre-back wants to stay in the Premier League. Moreover, West Ham will not allow him to leave on loan as he is an integral part of his plans.
West Ham have progressed to the knock-out rounds of the Europa League and the club must back their manager with proper funds to bring in the right quality of players.
