According to a BBC Sport story, Wrexham may sever connections with Callum McFadzean before to the end of the transfer window.
The left-sided player was signed by Wrexham in 2022, but since then, he has lost favor at Racecourse Ground, and this winter, his future is uncertain.
During the first half of this season, McFadzean, 29, has only made three appearances for the League Two team in all competitions. With the January transfer window opening, he now has the chance to move on and take on a new challenge.
Following his exclusion from the Red Dragons’ 22-man roster for current year, BBC Sport reports that he might be in the “shop window” this month along with colleagues Billy Waters and Bryce Hosannah.
Wrexham man faces uncertain future If Wrexham doesn’t make a move quickly, they risk losing McFadzean for free next summer when his contract expires.
Along with Notts County, he assisted them in being promoted from the National League last season, but he has since struggled to get game time in the Football League.
The skilled player, who was born in Sheffield, has made slightly under 300 appearances in his playing career.
Prior to joining his current club, McFadzean had stints at Chesterfield, Burton Albion, Stevenage, Kilmarnock, Alfreton Town, Guiseley, Bury, Plymouth Argyle, Sunderland, and Crewe Alexandra. He began his career at his hometown team, Sheffield United, where he played 23 games.
Since then, he has made 55 appearances for Phil Parkinson’s team; however, selling him now would free up cash and space in their roster to make room for new players as they aim to advance to League One.
