When Leeds United plays Peterborough United in the FA Cup third round at the Weston Homes Stadium today, Daniel Farke will make full use of his players.

Despite the fact that Leeds had six days off following New Year’s Day, which fell on a Monday, and the game falls between two weeks without midweek fixtures, the Whites manager still plans to make changes to his team for the cup match.

Expect no major changes this afternoon as they have almost a week until they return to play on Saturday, January 13, when they travel to Cardiff City in the Championship. Of course, there are some absences: Jamie Shackleton, Karl Darlow, Pascal Struijk, Sam Bryam, Joe Gelhardt, and Illan Meslier are all missing due to suspension.

After his loan period was terminated early, Djed Spence returned to Tottenham, where he is now competing with Archie Gray for a right-back position. After taking a little bump, Farke said that Liam Cooper would be evaluated. Charlie Cresswell might be ready to replace Joe Rodon in the middle of defense.

Joel Piroe could start up front again, but Patrick Bamford might stick in there after being given a chance against Birmingham City and taking it by heading the first goal. Willy Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony, who have missed a significant portion of the season due to injury, are also hoping for meaningful game time on the wings.
